I like being 28.

On Thursday, I opened some pressies, went to work & was taken out for lunch in the sunshine. In the evening, Mich took me to Otto, one of Sydney's most acclaimed restaurants. Delicious food, great service, fantastic company & what a view!

On Friday we went out for another long lunch, this time to celebrate the 'November' birthdays of Jen, Tommaso and myself. In the evening, five of my best friends met me at The Oaks for drinks. Jamie greeted me with the most beautiful bunch of flowers & Mich captured his mischief face on camera (he'd somehow avoided having his mug-shot on my blog till now)! Rich arrived (fresh in from NZ) and we all had a good catchup.

Then we headed accross the road to Thai Village. Tammy gave me a cookbook and proceeded to warn everyone that I'd be likely to invite them over to cook the dishes for me (hmm, plan thwarted).

Suzie had sneakily baked a cake & taken it to the restaurant earlier that day. Towards the end of dinner, the lights dimmed & I thought "How rude, they're trying to kick us out!" before being surprised with the yummiest homebaked rhubarb crumble sponge with candles. I was pretty happy. I hope my wish comes true!

I think we were kicked out of The Oaks around 2, Suz & I didn't get to bed till about 4. She cooked up a delich breakfast, which eased my head & revived me somewhat before I drove to Balmoral for my beach party. Half way there, I got a flat tyre - a nail was stuck in it. Suz, (looking like Beach Barbie in cute little shorts) got as far as opening the boot to find the spare before we (two damsels not-in-distress) were spotted by Neutral Bay fire brigade (conveniently on the scene). They leapt to our aid. Fireman Stuart was great - not least for rescuing me from the embarressment of being late to my own party.

So, all in all, I've been utterly spoiled. And I've still got the camping trip next weekend to look forward to.

Hey there Row, cool pic's chuck!! Looks like you had a good Bday.... I'm glad you're still having fun in the obviously very sunny OZ!Not that I'm jealous of course??!!?? Keep posting the update hun.. look forward to the next installment.
