Dad arrived in Sydney yesterday. I had a fun day showing him around.
Will came up in the evening from where he lives, near Seven Mile Beach. Dad took us for dinner at the Opera Bar, then to David Williamson’s latest play, 'Influence’. It's a play about the enormous reach and cultural and political influence that talkback radio personalities have in Australia. It was entertaining (and extremely bold - obviously attacking the John Laws/Stan Zemanek types), but we felt the play and characters were a bit lightweight.
Will & I weren’t that impressed with Williamson’s last play either, 'Flatfoot'. We saw that last year when Will's mum Heather was in Sydney!
Heath, I took a pic of Will & Dad for you.
