It was Australia Day last Thursday. Many born and bred Aussies think of it as Invasion Day (the beginning of the end of traditional aboriginal life). Many newcomers see it as an opportunity to celebrate their new standard of life and opportunities in this plentiful land.
The day was marked in Sydney with a fanfare of fireworks. Thousands crowded the shores of Darling Harbour to watch.
I got a tad emotional when I realised that by Australia Day 07 I will hopefully be a true blue Aussie resident. Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!
